Downeast Auto Body has been awarded direct repair status for most major insurance companies with our commitment to ongoing training; our state of the art facilities and equipment; and most importantly, by earning the trust of the insurance companies inspecting the quality of our work.

For our customers, our direct repair status means saving you the time and aggravation of getting estimates from three different repair facilities, waiting for an insurance adjuster to look at your vehicle, write an estimate, and eventually approve the repair. This process can take up to a week. Only then, can the body shop begin the process of ordering parts, which means more waiting and more down time for your vehicle.

Because Downeast is an approved direct repair facility, when you notify your insurance company that you’ve been in an accident, they immediately send us an electronic assignment to repair your vehicle. We don’t require an appointment for an estimate. In many cases, you can leave your vehicle with us right away and drive off in a new Toyota rental vehicle. We can order replacement parts and begin the repair process without waiting for a representative from the insurance company. When your repairs are completed, we bill the insurance company directly for the balance after your deductible is met. Finally, we guarantee our repairs for as long as you own the vehicle.
